Book Club is a collaboration between the Colusa County Library and the Friends of the Library.  Everyone is welcome and there is no cost.

Expand your reading horizons this year by joining our group of book lovers and enjoy some good treats!  Book discussion groups are a great way for book-lovers to enjoy reading and the pleasure of each other's company.

WHAT WE ARE READING

We are currently reading "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain.  Copies are available from the Colusa Library or available for sale from the Book Stop or Davidsons in Colusa..  The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 20 at 6:30 at the Morse Conference Room in the Colusa Library.  Even if you haven't finished reading the book, you will enjoy our lively discussions.

We are reading this as a part of the First Annual Virginia Yerxa Community Read

Call the Colusa Library at 458-7671 for additional information.

HOW IT WORKS

Every month the Book Club members select a book that is read by all the members of the Club who are able.   Books are provided (when possible) by the Library.  Book Club members have up to one month to read the book.

At a Club meeting, one member volunteers to lead discussion about the book and members express their point of view.  Club meetings can be a useful discipline for encouraging you to read more, to read outside the genres you normally read, or simply as a way to make new friends and meet like-minded readers.

The book club is reading the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.
